How it works

Step 1
Make the files

On the Print step, the book builds as usual. With the Seller Kit it also writes the listing pictures, the listing text, the KDP cover and the Etsy pack.

Step 2
Pick a destination

"Sell on Etsy" shows the pack and the pictures; "Sell on Amazon KDP" shows the interior and the full-wrap cover.

Step 3
Upload yourself

Copy the title, tags and description into Etsy, upload the pictures and the zip. For KDP, upload the interior and the cover PDF and run KDP's own previewer.

What it does not do (read this before you buy)

  • It does not upload to Etsy or KDP, and it does not open an Etsy shop or a KDP account for you. You copy and upload the files yourself.
  • The pictures and text are made from the book: they describe what is in it, in a fixed layout. They are not written by AI and they are not unique per seller; edit the text if you want your own voice.
  • The listing text suggests a price range; it is a suggestion from the book's page count, not market research.
  • Marketplace rules are yours to follow: Etsy's creativity standards, KDP's content and AI declarations, trademarks in titles.
  • Teachers Pay Teachers is not a separate destination; the Etsy pack works there too, but the listing text is written for Etsy.

Questions

Do I get pictures for books I made before the upgrade?

Yes. Open the book, press "Make the files again" on the Print step, and the Seller Kit files are added.

Can I edit the pictures?

They are PNG files; you can edit them in any image tool. The text is plain text, edit it freely.

Is the spine width right?

It is computed from the page count and the paper colour the way KDP documents it, and the guide-line copy shows the safe areas. Always run KDP's previewer before you publish; that is their final check, not ours.
